Playtech and Novomatic Team Up to Offer Sports Betting Services in the US

Playtech, a leading player in the gaming technology sector, has joined forces with Novomatic Americas, a subsidiary of the European giant Novomatic, to provide sports wagering services. This isn’t their first venture together, as they have been collaborating for some time, operating over 10,000 machines globally.

This new agreement signifies that Playtech’s sports betting machines will be accessible through Novomatic’s ActionBook, the most sought-after sports betting machine in the United States. ActionBook is already operational in numerous states, including DraftKings and Penn National, with over 49 locations across 11 states. They will also be collaborating to market Playtech’s mobile sports betting and player account management software to other businesses.

This is merely the latest development for Playtech since their entry into the US market last year. They have already been collaborating with Bet365 and Entain in New Jersey. This new arrangement implies that Playtech and Novomatic will be working together to sell and distribute sports betting products in the United States.

Playtech recently inked a deal with Parx Casino in Michigan, Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Jonathan Doubilet, Playtech’s US chief, commented on the agreement: “We are thrilled to expand our collaboration with Novomatic and offer a comprehensive sports wagering solution for various US states. This combined service will deliver a first-rate experience and further showcases Playtech’s capacity to partner with leading businesses and capitalize on its size in the swiftly expanding US market.”

Rick Meitzler, President and CEO of Novomatic Americas, added: “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Playtech and anticipate introducing their sports betting solutions to Novomatic ActionBook. We are confident that Playtech’s established sports betting proficiency in numerous regulated markets will further solidify Novomatic ActionBook’s standing as the most sought-after sports betting kiosk in the US market.”
