The Gaming Association of Canada (GAC) and the Global Association for Wagering Integrity (GAWI) are joining forces to combat dishonesty in sports wagering. They contend that a robust collaboration will safeguard Canadian gaming establishments, the sports betting sector, and patrons.
Paul Burns, the director of the GAC, stressed the significance of this alliance as Ontario prepares to unveil its own internet gaming platform and broaden sports betting throughout Canada. He views GAWI, which oversees billions of dollars in wagers globally, as a crucial element in maintaining the integrity of sports betting.
Both groups will be exchanging intelligence to detect questionable wagering patterns and utilizing their collective information to probe and counter corruption.
These measures seek to establish equitable conditions in sports wagering, prompting users in Ontario and Canada to opt for legitimate platforms. The objective is to cooperate with associates to combat illicit activities and maintain the honesty of the wagering market, particularly concentrating on sports betting.
