The prominent gaming company, Codere, recently secured a significant victory in the Argentinian market by inking a sponsorship agreement with the renowned River Plate soccer club. This four-year contract connects the Spanish gaming powerhouse with one of South America’s most beloved teams until August 2025.
Codere is no stranger to Argentina, having been active in the country since the early 1990s. They currently manage a network of 13 gaming establishments, the largest in Buenos Aires, featuring over 6,800 slot machines and classic bingo games. Their strategy involves introducing online sports wagering in Argentina as soon as they receive approval from local regulators.

This agreement follows closely on the heels of Codere’s partnership with another prominent Latin American club, Monterrey Rayados in Mexico, demonstrating their dedication to becoming a dominant force in the region’s sports wagering market.
River Plate’s second-in-command, Jorge Brito, conveyed his enthusiasm for the alliance, noting that Codere’s expertise, international footprint, and significant regional standing will propel both entities toward amplified expansion.
