888 Holdings Completes Acquisition of William Hill in Landmark Deal

The 888 Holdings purchase of William Hill’s global business is officially complete, marking a significant victory following a competitive bidding war. This transaction brings both William Hill and Mr Green under the 888 banner.

The integration has resulted in some leadership adjustments. Ulrik Bengtsson, William Hill’s previous CEO, revealed his departure last week, the first of several such moves. Eric Hageman, the CFO, is also leaving as part of what 888 is referring to as a “restructuring.”

However, not everyone is going. Some well-known figures from William Hill will remain. Mark Skinner, their Chief People Officer, who joined in 2021 after holding a number of other HR leadership positions, will continue in his current capacity.

Satty Bhens, their Chief Product and Technology Officer since 2019, joins him. Both will remain in their current positions.

Itai Pazner, 888’s current CEO, will be in charge of this newly merged organization. Yariv Dafna, the CFO, and Guy Cohen, the COO, are among the 888 executives who will support him.

888 intends to publish its half-year results in August, kicking off its financial reporting in British pounds.

“I am thrilled to announce the completion of our transformative merger with William Hill,” Pazner stated.

Weve assembled a truly formidable leadership group, merging the top talent from both organizations. As we move forward, our position is exceptional – we’re blending incredible offerings and material, powered by distinctive technology and a globally recognized name. This will be significant.”

“A massive thank you to Ulrik and Erik for their remarkable contributions at William Hill. We extend our best wishes for their future endeavors.”
