Amanda Brown will bring her substantial human resources knowledge to the gaming leader Entain. Effective November 8th, 2023, she will assume the position of Independent Non-Executive Director and become a member of the organization’s Compensation Committee.
Brown’s professional journey is characterized by notable executive positions. She was a crucial figure at the insurance company Hiscox as their Chief Human Resources Officer and a part of their Executive Leadership Team. At present, she holds influential roles on the boards of Mitchells & Butlers and Manchester Airports Group, leading their respective Compensation Committees. Her notable background also includes a period as a Non-Executive Director and Compensation Committee Chair at Micro Focus International.
This designation arrives at a critical juncture for Entain as they prepare to disclose their third-quarter financial outcomes this Thursday. The corporation has already declared an encouraging 14% rise in Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) for the initial six months of 2023.
Entain’s Chairman, Barry Gibson, conveyed his assurance in Brown’s capacity to contribute to the company’s ongoing achievements, remarking: “The Board and I are pleased to welcome Amanda to Entain. Amanda offers vast international commercial and board background. I trust her talents and knowledge will further enhance the Board’s capabilities as we back and supervise the implementation of our plan.”
This development follows a time of some instability for Entain, with their stock value seeing a decline at the close of September.
Its experienced a significant decline – approximately a 30% reduction in worth – due to the regulatory obstacles it’s encountering.
